Dear friend,

Some subjects are hard to talk about because people arrive with fear, assumptions, or pain. I understand that. I also believe the hardest conversations are often the ones that most need patience, humility, and human presence.

My advocacy begins with a simple conviction: a person is more than one chapter, one label, one public record, or one painful season of life. Accountability matters. Safety matters. But dignity matters too.

I am not asking anyone to ignore complexity. I am asking for something more human: to slow down long enough to see the whole person, the family around them, the years of growth, the faith, the work, the responsibility, and the possibility of restoration.

I have seen what happens when that patience is extended — when someone is held accountable and still treated as a human being capable of change. The result is not naivety. It is the harder, truer form of justice.
